Historic Fremont Theatre

Located in the heart of downtown SLO, this historic movie theatre is among the last Streamline Moderne theatres built by architect S. Charles Lee.  Opened in 1942 on the eve of the U.S. entry to Work War II.  Throughout its early years it served both as a moving pictures theatre and live theatre.  The theatre now plays host to all main stream cinema and is the main venue for the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival.
